19. If you could change your name, would you? What would you change it to?

Ooooo, I don't think I would? I quite like Sophie. I think if I did though, I'd change it to my grandma's name, which was Gwendolyn. I've always loved it a lot.

An aside, but my Nona was the youngest of five girls, and her parents had used up all the girls names that they really loved on their other daughters, so they just combined their names to create hers. His was William, and hers was Olga, so her name was Wilga, haha. It's a weird name, but I kind of love it too.

25. Describe your perfect Friday night.

I'm a simple woman! I'd love to go to a bookish or a cultural event - a launch or reading or panel discussion or screening, then kick on for drinks and tapas at some of my fave bars with some of my favourite people. :-)

Last Song: well I’m currently listening to music so I can’t cite my “last song”... but I’ve been obsessed with “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night” by FINNEAS for about a week now, although it’s starting to wear off.

Last Movie: I can’t even remember??? Ahhh I watch almost only series... I mean I was watching an episode of La Rosa de Guadalupe yesterday (yes I know it’s trash shhh).

Currently reading: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas as my main book. Also: L’assassin Royal 7 by Robin Hobb, Más allá del Invierno by Isabella Allende, Children of the Mind by Orson Card, Binti 2 by Nnedi Okorafor, Les Arènes by Pascale Hugues, The President is Missing by Bill Clinton, and der Klong die Freiheit by Gill Lewis. For the little anecdote I try to always read one book in every language I speak, but I always end up reading too many books in English and French.

Last Song: currently listening to Landfill by Daughter from this amazing playlist made for my Until Dawn fic, After Dawn. 

Last Movie: Knives Out, it was pretty good, some funny moments, a good mystery, great cast, and now I understand all of the gifs going around. 

Currently reading: Seveneves, would not recommend, it’s an apocalyptic sci-fi and there’s just so much technical, scientific description that my poor character loving brain gets lost in. It’s taking me forever to get through, looking forward to finishing it and finding something else to read!

33. If money was no object, what would your wardrobe be like?

Probably not too much different than what I have now. I have a lot of comfy-type clothes. Maybe I’d get some that were nicer looking, fashionable-type? ....Fashionable loungewear? Is that a thing? rofl

Tobacco, no. I am, on occasion, afflicted with a terrible craving for a cigarette though.

on a rare occasion. I tend to prefer vodka, whiskey, or rum. Or really boozy mixed drinks.

lmao i wish. I have a whole slew of them planned, including wanting my sclera coloured.

see above, but god, yeah. I have a bunch designed, but like. I’m chronically poor and there’s a good chance i’m allergic to the ink so :/

yeah, but i tend to have a bad reaction to metal in and on my skin for extended periods, so i’ve just never seen a point in putting more holes in me.

Kind but totally in charge attitude, shotgunning weed, touching my hands.

Come to my house, I cook, we talk a lot, probably smoke, and cuddle on the couch. I’m a simple man.

People who are just sort of casually rude or mean and think that’s a great personality trait. Chewing loudly/with your mouth open, people who try to act like the arbiter of morality or good taste based solely on their own likes mixed with thinly disguised right-wing ethics.

Bigfin squids are only positively identified from larval and juvenile specimens but they THINK they’ve found adult specimens on film in the deep sea and they are my most favourite squids.

20. What is something you’re obsessed with?

Beyond Good Girls? Haha. Ummm, right now I'm pretty obsessed with the board game, Ex Libris. It's insanely fun and in it you're a magical librarian competing for the role of head librarian and you have to collect books. It's very nerdy but very fun, haha.

37. Have any tattoos?

I don't, but I want to get one. My bff (Emma 2!) and I have been talking about getting a matching friendship one forever which is a jolly roger, only it's a cat skull and two wine bottles underneath instead of a skull and crossbones, haha.

I'd also like to get the quote from Persuasion 'I'm half agony, half hope' tattooed on me somewhere, especially after last year.

3. Ever done any drugs?

Yes, and I had an allergic reaction and had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance, haha. It was very embarrassing.
