c’mon that’s Theo right there. This is the first (semi) normal relationship Theo’s ever had so of course it’s going to be confusing, and shocking, and weird. And this song encapsulates that beautifully.

I don’t think Theo is so far gone that he thinks Liam is perfect, or he idolizes him. But I think he sees something in Liam that he doesn’t think he has. Something inherently wrong with him and so right with Liam, something he’s lacked since birth. It’s more to do with his self-loathing than his perception of Liam.

It’s more hopeful, he’s not where he wants to be but he could be. Liam inspires him to be.

It’s like an au thiam where things turn sour. And I say au because in my heart it’s canon that they last and I won’t hear any different. Towards the end it strays from fitting but I think it works well for Theo thinking back on their relationship.

Ok silly goofy, and mainly there because I do kinda wanna make an animatic where Liam is Veronica and Theo is JD. But also there is a nugget of truth. A big motif of the show is how they aren’t allowed to be children, to just be seventeen.

Sooooo my airplanes addiction has gotten to the point whenever I open the search bar on tiktok and I’ve at any point in the last 24 hours watched a sad tiktok or even audio there at the top of suggestions is ‘thiam airplanes’ like I wasn’t gonna search that but now you say it you know what yea I will then I forget what I was going to originally search
It’s been six months guys and I know if I go read it again I’ll have a repeat of when I had to to uni without sleep for several days because I couldn’t stop until I literally fell asleep which takes a lot with my chronic insomnia
