could these be the same constellations as the ones seen from khorvaire? his head tilts every once in a while to change the angle, trying to envision the night sky from a different perspective.
finding a familiar pattern would give his remaining party an idea of just how far away they are and maybe even help navigate back. though, despite thinking of home, his stargazing cultivates a nostalgia for something else. one he feels each time he does it.
in this way, he's sure, they must be the same.
the network weaves into his thoughts with an announcement of a visitor before they speak, so ethos straightens in anticipation.
but when they do, the immediate response out of him is a chuckle.
it's a noise made from both delight and surprise, with no scorn towards the question itself.

he turns his head to look at the stranger then, only to discover a man resembling the sun itself. if anything, he should know just how miraculous the cosmos is, having been made to resemble its light so clearly.
