A lone lit cigarette serves as the only light in the gloom. Gambit’s lips curl into a smirk as a spark of recognition gleams in his eyes. 

“’Ey,” he says, “ain’t you de brot’er of T’or?” He snaps his fingers once or twice, looking for the name. “Tall, beefy, good-lookin’...you know him, non?” He grins. “You must be de ot’er one--Lucky? Looky?” Loki, Gambit knows--but something tells him he’ll have more fun if he pretends to get it wrong.

Admittedly, it takes her a moment to process what exactly she’s looking at. But, finding someone else who can change their own features pulls up a little bit of glee in here, and Miriam grins despite her earlier question. The trepidation seems long gone now. 

Granted, he isn’t the first strange thing she’s seen. “Well, it looks like shapeshifting, which you just confirmed. Fascinating, honestly. I’m almost jealous. I can’t quite go that far. At least for now.” A bit cryptic, but it offers a bit of sympathy.

“Nah. You’d have to do a lot more to scar me. I’ve seen worse. And hm,” she drums her fingers on her thigh, briefly shifting herself to match the appearance of a passerby. It’s an easy change, even fun, considering the person’s pink hair. “Give it time. I’m a little stronger than I used to be.”

Amazing what a change of scenery did for a persons motivation. Despite the healing injuries that hindered him, Clint had the drive to get out of his stuffy house and explore. He couldn't get very far from his housing, not with his broken leg, but the Fibonacci ward was pretty damn big, he didn't expect to get bored any time soon.

The Surface is the section in Fibonacci where homes were located. Thankfully it wasn't only homes in this section. The place to explore first would be the area closest to home, and of course he had to take his dog with him.

Clint tried very hard to make it look like he wasn't limping, but he was. His left leg was broken - healing, and had a make-shift cask made of planks and lots and lots of medical gauze and tape. It was clear that a professional hadn't wrapped it, and to help get around he used a cane - where do you get crutches anyway? They didn't sell those at a convenience store. In addition to the attempt at a cast, his left arm was wrapped up in bandages and his face had a few new scratches on it. One might think he looked like shit.

Lucky found his own section of grass to sniff at while Clint sat himself down at the bench, leash held loose. He groaned as he adjusted his leg, staring down at it with so much disappointment in the speed of human healing. Seriously it took way too long. Just as he was beginning to relax, the leash he held went tight to which he automatically held hard. Lucky barked as Clint held him back.

"Lucky! Hey hey... what the hell-" The object of his dog's aggression seemed to be coming from a shrub. It did seem like something was in there. Tugging his dog back, Clint leaned over to look - a cat was his guess. But he couldn't recall seeing any other animals around before. Maybe they came with the refreshed city? "Come on boy get back... can't have ya gettin' bit by-" There was a tail peeking out of the shrubs. 

".. a fox?"

✯ The crowd cheers and whistles, as the announcer energetically gets into position to continue. “Today we have once again a set of novices to this tournament, but don’t understimate them for that, folks! You never know what sort of baggage they may carry on them.”

✯ “Without further ado, let’s call for our participants! On the right side of the court, send your cheers to this brunette bombshell potential - Fey and Laufeyson!!”

✯ “Thank you, thank you!” Maya waves at the audience like a happy child. Truth be told, she isn’t that experient with volleyball, much less one involving super powers. But hey! Should be fun doing this at least once in her life. Plus, her volley bikini is pretty cool.

✯ “And on the left side, please greet the lovebirds - Nehra and Ram!!”

     Ragna had just planted his sword in the head of the last Shambler in this area, with the corpses of others strung around every which way. A few may still twitch and squirm, but they certainly aren’t going to get up for a bite. And with all the undead taken care of, the Reaper had finally shifted his gaze over to a stranger that had apparently stumbled onto the scuffle. His hiding spot was now being called out though, and Ragna wouldn’t have much patience for waiting around for an answer.
