Thing of Gold - Snarky Puppy There's something about live music that's almost magic in the way that you almost become a part of it.

Ok so this is my first music review on my blog here goes....
Snarky Puppy what a name and I love it. I first discovered these guys a few weeks ago when my homie told me about them he was like "yo Santa your gonna love these kats" and trust me he was right lol.
Their music has a way of painting colours in your mind/soul and tells a story where no words are needed and the live audience are immersed right bang in the middle of the recording session (straight genius)
I believe music is definitely heading in this direction with more collectives of musicians/artists coming together and carving out their own movement through collaboration and sparking up new genres.
I also believe this type of music has the ability to trancends race, genre and any other boundary to make the listener feel free, uplifted. These guys take you on a journey by cleverly fusing so many genres that when mixed together you can't ever pin point what genre your ultimately listening to.
Its that complex yet so simple as you are just listening to MUSIC in its entirety ;)
Ive said this before and I'll say it again there are two types of people in this world the ones who are fed music through the mainstream and the ones who search high and low for the realness.
As a music enthusiast who loves discovering new music I had to share this with you and hope that you feel the same way I do about music. Whoever is reading this :)
Keep supporting independant musicians and artists, its a tough grind as an up and coming musician/songwriter myself, let alone being an established independant musician as these guys check it out and continue sharing your passion. Your art is a reflection of who you are as a person in this world and your passion is the tool you use to communicate your story be it dance, music, art, fashion its all good rock on.....enjoy
