Guinevere tore open the rolled and twisted butcher paper, and found the TP tube inside. She was very proud of herself and brought it to show me. (Yes, she's stuck her lower jaw through it. Yes, it's intentional, and she will put it back if I remove it.) It was very important for me to see, and to tell her how clever she was, and also to smack me in the face with it a few times. Ah, love.
Gwyn was fidgeting nonstop yesterday from 6:30am to 5:30pm. It's a good thing she's mostly easy to entertain: stick a thing on a thing, and she wants to undo it again. They got marrow bones earlier, gnawed them clean... then I stuck one over the head of Gwyn's rope/cordura duck.
Great entertainment, at least ten minutes of problem-solving in that. Gwyn didn't want the bone or the duck, of course, she just wanted to separate them.
She can sit with Tristan for moral support, as long as she doesn't step on him.
Trash Enrichment: one paper bag, slid through two quarters of a paper towel tube & puffed up
And even this, Gwyn carries over to chew on a dog blanket. She doesn't know that I tuck the blanket under her face & feet when she's going to chew something messy, just that I put her over the blanket when she's chewing enjoyable stuff. She absorbed that whole behavior by accident, but it's very considerate of her.
For entertainment today, we have a shredded paper bag... inside another paper bag... inside a third paper bag... inside a fourth paper bag.

Tristan had an upset stomach and I had a migraine, so the Puppy Princess needed some extra entertainment for a few days. She got a thick plastic horse pill bottle stuffed with packing paper, packing paper stuffed into two TP tubes,
and a worn-out wool sock (Gwyn's Holy Grail) knotted and stuffed into a hol-ee roller. (thanks to @lloonlloon ! the big hol-ee roller with a toy inside is a genius idea for a dog who likes the puzzle more than the solution/prize)
I'm really impressed that she untied the knot in the sock... and that she still didn't get the sock out after that.
