TRASH-PIRATION
An Introduction
Welcome to Think B4 U Throw's online home! You may be wondering, what is this site all about?
Think B4 U Throw is a blog dedicated to inspiring people to live a more sustainable and less wasteful life. This blog started from the ideathat people don’t often think about the object that they are throwing away. Questions such as: Where was this product made? What can it be used for? What has it been used for? Where is it going after it has been used? And can it be used for something else? Rarely cross our minds when we are in a rush, preoccupied by life, and quickly throwing something away. We live in a culture where the disposal of trash is an automatic and robotic activity. The birth of a product or its afterlife isn’t often considered in our minds when we think about what we consume and how we throw it away. The goal with this blog is to motivate people to think about trash and consumption in a more thoughtful way.
We will be showing examples of what we have done with "trash", in addition to further explaining the problem we all face. We want to show off what you have done too. Submit pictures of repurposed "trash" to us and we will share them with the world. Hopefully, we can all gain inspiration from each other, and help solve the landfill problem in a fun, creative way.
