Female Thinkers, the world needs you! ENTJ ESTJ INTJ ISTJ INTP ISTP ENTP ESTP
Ti and Te: Where people have gotten it twisted.
Often, Ti is regarded as the more flexible function, where Te is the more “restrictive.”
I personally find this to be the opposite.
Ti relies on a known theoretical paradigm. It prefers to stick to this paradigm. In more unhealthy cases, you will hear unhealthy Ti users ranting and raving about how anything outside of this paradigm is “made up” or “splitting hairs.”
Te, on the other hand, relies on observable circumstances. Exceptions to the rule are more readily incorporated into the Te user’s database of facts. While they may still have strong opinions about whatever matter is at hand (for better or for worse), they still readily acknowledge it as part of the world they exist in.
