notice how they ban access but not the content.

they don’t focus on the creeps on TikTok, X, Snapchat, Instagram, TUMBLR but they act like they ‘care about the children’ by banning all kids under 16 from social media. they are straight up ENABLING the creeps and pedos on social media to CONTINUE.

instead of actually taking the time to remove, filter, ban, or rid of the thousands of creeps, pedos, groomers on social media, you enable them and do nothing about the fact they can still do that. and you just remove communities from teenagers in an increasingly hostile and apathetic society. and the gap in this ban is that it doesn’t protect kids. because a 16 can still be groomed and harassed. the banning of under 16s does nothing to protect children from the disgusting people in this world.

we’re treating this as inevitable, there will always be creeps and pedos. ‘let’s do the hard work so they don’t try anything on us’ instead of dealing with the growing issue.

i heavily fw the idea that humans are akin to little grains of sand in terms of the universe.

our issues so incomprehensibly unimportant, and the need to ‘find the purpose of life’ is just a flaw, we don’t have a purpose the same way nothing really does.

through the eyes of ‘maintaining life’ sure things on this planet do have a purpose. but from an outside perspective, outside the planet, outside the galaxy. none of this is important, just do what you want to do.

fuck societal expectations because they change all the time. don’t root yourself into structures that don’t work for you, or inherently will hurt your wellbeing. that’s my take away so far at 16.

try your best to do what makes you happy, and value your life since it can go at anytime. love who you are before loving anyone else. and be kind (if you want to ig)

okay wait thinking about loud here.

I used to think that free will in terms of religion was really unfair/ didn’t make sense.

This was because if I chose to go to Christian route I wouldn’t be allowed to be myself and I wouldn’t be allowed to do things I genuinely want to do. i.e, transition, tattoos, birthdays, Christmas, anything outside of marriage.

And if I went the other way then I would be punished. And I used to get annoyed because if I chose the other way, then I would be punished for being who I am. I’m not hurting anyone by being me, so why am I in the wrong.

But I’ve just realised if I choose the other way then I no longer subscribe to the idea of eternal punishment aka I no longer believe that is a system.

Just had that thought so yeah.
