I think 7x10 will be Damon’s version of hell and the only thing that may be true in that trailer is Stefan being there for real (though, not betting my head here). We see Stefan’s body torched in it as well, which makes me believe this is likely.
Based on some spoilers, I suggest Damon has actually made peace with a lot of his guilt and there will probably be a way to ‘free yourself’ from the hell without any heretics, and that Damon will get himself out, but Stefan will not.
I thought earlier that the flashforwards might be his hell, but dissed the idea as why on Earth would Bonnie and Enzo be in it etc - waste of airtime, it’s OOC for Stefan’s hell, but some spoilers suggest that everything but that really is his hell, which would make sense - Caroline is living happy family with Ric and Damon’s checked out of the world + none of them actually seem to match up with each other. + Stefan still has the x on his chest. Also Damon being injected with wolf blood - sounds awfully like 2x21 and hell for Stefan
Another idea is that maybe he is out, but he isn’t supposed to be and the hunter is essentially a hell-hound chasing him and only him
I think Valerie is the real big bad and Mary Louise is right to not believe her story. It might actually just be a story.
