God the fact nort is offering an umbrella at all is driving me insane. The silent gesture of solace. It's broken and facing the wrong way, but he's offering it anyways. It's pointless and broken and hopeless against the onslaught but he'll offer it anyways.
while reading kiss and spell, i noticed something interesting. ginger mentions that the story of the candy witch eating children was a lie made up by hansel and gretel so they could get out of punishment. ginger then says that hansel and gretel’s story became popular, despite being a lie, and that was what was written down into the storybook of legends.
it makes me wonder how many other fairytales are fabricated in the eah universe and how many descendants are being forced to carry out horrible storylines based on lies?
ALSO ginger is only the second gen candy witch, since it was her mother’s story that was written into the storybook of legends. is there a hierarchy in eah based on how old your story is? would ginger be considered “new money” while characters like apple and raven are “old money”? follow up - are there random characters within the world of ever after who don’t belong to fairytales? they just exist as background characters, hoping to someday have their story written in the storybook of legends?
things to think about
something something janka acting as narrative foils of each other in more ways than one, both children of emotional neglect
despite not knowing jabbers backstory and despite the memes about him having a normal childhood, you do not become Like That without some form of trauma
both are children that were not given proper attention and sought to remedy that in their own ways
zanka by being the “good” child, feeling as though he has to be the best at everything to be deserving of attention and affection, unable to ask for help, self-isolating, low self-worth
jabber by being the “bad” child, acting out in order to receive any form of attention, seeking out negative attention/pain and equating it with pleasure, developing substance abuse issues in order to feel something
something something two sides of the same coin something something similar but different
Honestly the only thing preventing Radiant Dawn from being The Perfect Fire Emblem Game is the lack of full supports.
Theory:
Tali was affected by Tony and Ziva’s separation, and blamed Ziva. I think it all went down at the safe house that they’re headed to in this week’s episode. I think the big fight happened and Tali heard and saw things. I think the necklace is hiding there, and possibly the engagement ring. I think Tali is going to call Tony and Ziva on their bullshit, and they’re going to see how much of them is actually in her.
Anyway, I think this week will invoke all the tears, and I think Tony’s dam will burst.
