This documentary-in-the-works is a product of the effort of a number of people, including 3 of my black belts (Ernie Reyes, West Coast); Frank Kelly Abella, Brian Williams, and Rori Goetze. All three are also alumni of The Ultimate Black Belt Test.
As a teacher I really can't ask for much more than students who take it upon themselves to use their training, their friendships, and their talents to produce work of this quality --and for this purpose. I hope martial arts teachers around the world will look at this documentary and think about their young students --and were they will, someday (hopefully) go --and how they might contribute to a better world.
I'm very proud of them --and perfectly pleased at the high water mark this sets for other martial artists. The fact is, I'm so moved by the effort I can hardly find the words to express myself.
