hi i saw your tag in the last post, you don't have to answer this i'm just confused. if you don't see feminism about equality then what is it about for you?

hi!! thank u for asking cus i know it does sound weird!! for me (as a woman) i have issue w “wanting to be equal to men” bc like.. what does that mean? and for a lot of ppl, w/o thinking deeply about it, its about having the privileges and ~freedoms~ of being a man in this world. except this idea is largely based around white men and their abilities and privileges!!! basically you want to be afforded the same privileges as white men, but as a white woman, that would just give me more institutional power over people of color. 

for me, feminism should be about liberation for women from oppressive and patriarchal structures! structures such as restriction on reproductive rights, pornography, sex trafficking, makeup and ~beauty~ culture, etc!! im sure u can imagine more. i dont care about being treated or seen as equal to men when there r very real institutions that harm women daily that we need to be free from!!
