After almost 4 years working as a line cook for Petite Provence in 2 different NE Portland locations, I’ve begun my transfer to the front of house as a barista & cashier until my maternity leave (probably sometime in October). Fortunately I was a barista for a couple years previous to cooking - so it’s been an easy transition. (Here’s a latte I made during my past stint behind an espresso machine.) It was a lot of fun, great acquaintances were made and much was learned. But with being pregnant in the kitchen during summer, you know what they say about, “If you can’t stand the heat...”.
