UNCANNY CASTIEL
TW: uncanny valley, creepy Castiel, disturbing imagery | POV:
Second Person | By: MultifandomHC | Reqs are open!
——————————————————————————
PART ONE:
— His gaze is always deep, disturbingly so. He isn't just seeing you, he is SEEING you. Your scars from childhood accidents, your tears from teen hood crushes gone wrong, your trauma, your dreams, your life before and after now, your soul. He sees every inch of you, everything you are, were, and will be, all in one long stare. He sees you in ways you cannot defend from him.
— A warrior of god. His gaze does not break when he is fighting. No matter how many hits, how many punches, cuts, bruises he takes, no matter how much he bleeds, he continues on, unflinching. It seems impossible to beat him, as if there is no hope. No matter what you do, he will continue to beat you, and his gaze is unending. Unblinking. Staring into your eyes and watching your soul leave your body, no pity, no remorse, only mission. Inconvenience.
— He knows you. You don't know him, you've never known him, but he knows you. He'll watch you with the intensity of someone who has seen all your faults and is calculating them, storing them, processing them, and coming out with no judgement, no shame in you, only a cool curiosity that he wishes to sate. He'll bring up past trauma like it's nothing, asking questions about things you didn't even remember yourself, forcing you to come back to them. He doesn't know that he is inflicting pain, but he is.
— He is still. He is stiff. He barely talks, and when he does, his voice shakes the very air around you, vibrations rumbling in the floor beneath your feet if you stand just close enough. The only time you ever see him breathe is when he takes a breath in before he speaks, only doing so to communicate properly, even then they are shallow, causing the raspiness. His stance is always rigid, as is his walk. He looks as though he is using his legs for the first time, though he's done this many times before.
— His shadow is delayed, and it sometimes has a mind of its own. Castiel could be speaking with somebody, his shadow following along with his movements until it doesn't. It may look behind him, maybe even off in another direction, keeping watch when Castiel cannot. He is an all seeing being, how else do you expect him to be able to do that in human form without the help of his shadow? Often times, if you're careful enough to sneak up on Castiel, his shadow will bristle before he reacts.
— Imagine him from Claire's perspective. Her kind, compassionate, loving father was killed, because an angel, a real life angel, possessed him. He is no longer recognisable, the life and joy in his eyes that once looked at her with affection now replaced with a steady coolness, and an open confusion. The colour of his flesh has dulled, no sign of life. If he were to close his eyes and lay down, he would look like a corpse, long dead and starting to rot. The purplish hue of his dry lips, the sunken eyes, the clear signs of a body not being taken care of in the manner it should be. Claire would be traumatised, as her father's corpse is reanimated in front of her by a celestial being playing house.
PART TWO:
— If possessing you, Castiel keeps you concious. You're stuck in a limbo state between life and death, breathing and suffocating, and there is no escape of the endless pit that he is constricting you too. You feel everything, the vibration in your vocal cords when he speaks, the twist of your neck when he turns your head, but you feel nothing else. No limbs, no body, no you. You feel as though you're floating and sinking all at once. But you do feel pain. You feel it all over, when he gets stabbed, as he has your skin meld itself back together in a hot acidic burn, you can feel it all, just so he doesn't have too.
— When he wants information, he can extract it without second thought. While being a warrior of god, he had been trained in the art of distortion. Distortion of reality, of your brain, or of your body is what he may partake in if he so chooses. One of his most effective ones to use when using angelic grace is the excruciatingly slow process of separating your atoms and rearranging them, as it often gets people talking a lot quicker. We know that he is well versed in torture from the episode in S6 (E19) where he effectively gets information out of a demon after five minutes, without using his power.
— His eyes have a soft luminescent glow in dark spaces. If it is night time and he is standing in the dark, his irises glow a faint white/blue as his angelic grace seeps through. Eyes are the windows to the soul, and his soul is non existent, hence why his grace would take it's place. He also has the ability to make them glow stronger by pushing his grace to the forefront of his sockets, effectively being used to lighten up a dark room. Seeing him standing in the corner of a motel room, facing the boys as they sleep, eyes softly glowing in the dim light, has been a sight that has made many people jump.
— He can show up in your dreams at any time, sending you subliminal messages through flashing lights and chanted words of enochian. He haunts your mind, plagues your thoughts. Sometimes you'll see eyes, so many eyes, all staring at you as the words are whispered through your ears. Other times, it's his full form, looking down at you with glowing eyes as he recites old testaments from the past and fortunes of the future. What's even more odd is that he doesn't seem to be meaning to do this, it simply happens if you sleep too close in proximity with him, as static fills your brain and his grace seeps into your vulnerable unconscious mind.
— His shadow, like stated in the previous creepy cas headcanons, is another active conciousness of himself. It has a mind of it's own, but is also connected to his. It can manifest into a physical form, three dimensional and a seeping black hole all at once. It does not reflect light, but sucks it in, leaving everything around it in a dim atmosphere. Castiel never does it often, but he can actually send the shadow off to look at things for him, to check on people and places. It's a servant to him, and no one else. It cannot be controlled or contained by anyone other than him, and when injured, it affects the shadow as well, and touching his shadow will also be a physical sensation for him, like an amputated limb with phantom sense.
— By design, Castiel is corrupt. Castiel is flawed. Most angels understand this, as it is previously mentioned in episodes (such as the one with Naomi) that Castiel always fled from the flock, and she had had to reset him multiple times in the past. He was God's only ever intentially flawed creation. I believe that Castiel was designed to fail, to become an outcast among his peers. Even by the angels who care for him, they distance themselves, as they can feel the odd energy radiating from him. The feeling that something is not quite right about him, that something is missing from his coding. His DNA is flawed, his image is flawed, his thoughts, morals, affections, and his kindness are all flaws. He is a walking example of what an angel should not be. Human's are not the only ones uncomfortable around him, the ones who feel uneasy, angels feel it too. He's not quite angel, and he's not quite human. He’s… odd.

A Picture of Dolphin and Cow Jumping Out of the Water
This is one of the first pictures I saw on the internet back in the day, a picture of a dolphin and a cow jumping out of the water. This is a meme and psychological humor. The joke is that if you see anything other than two dolphins, you are overworked and need a vacation.
According to many websites, this picture is used as an illustration in a stress study at St. Mary's Hospital. It is said that a study of a group revealed that even though the dolphins are completely identical, a person experiencing stress would notice differences in the two dolphins.
If you think this is AI-generated, it's not. This image, as of the time of this post, is over 20 years old. Based on my findings, this image was first posted on 14 April, 2003. This image is photoshopped but not AI-generated. I have seen this picture before back in the early 2010s.
What I want to say is old internet images like this, usually memes, especially from 2000s, and 2020s AI-generated images, usually fall into the uncanny valley, where things look almost real but slightly off, making the viewer question the authenticity of the image.
