I like that the movie establishes so much potential backstory without actually flashing back. By the older sister's dialogue and actions, we can kind of tell how she ended up as she has and we can also see that it still affects her greatly (as it would).
After sleeping on the trailer, some thoughts:
Steve's arc has been about fight for what's right with your fists if necessary. Tony's arc has been about mental and physical shielding. Both are going to come to a head in a battle which the moral is likely fists weren't that necessary.
It's nice to see responsible adult!Tony, look how far my baby has come since 2008. I say this like they aren't all my babies, but still....
Really hope Steve's motivations are bigger than Bucky, not only for the sake of Steve's storyline but Sam's as well.
I'm curious what the second trailer might bring up since we've only seen kind of a fraction of the promised problem.
There's a heavy sense that Tony's going to die, but I can't see them having Steve or Bucky be the one to kill him. However, I could see the two of them severely injuring Tony to the point Steve has to take a step back and ask himself what the hell he's doing. This would also kind of fit with Steve's continuing narrative of figuring out where he fits into the world whether it's the 1940's or 2010's.
The movie in general is likely from Steve's POV since it's going to fit into the Captain America arc, but I'd like to see the next trailer show some non-Steve factors
My parents are watching Bill O'Reilly in the other room and I just heard Glenn Beck ask rhetorically, "How can you make Santa have a message about Christ?" or something like that, and my first thought was "Teach kids about the real historical St. Nicholas?"
They've got a US B-17 crew chief veteran on this episode of Time Team since they're excavating some World War II planes that crashed in Norfolk and it makes me miss my paternal grandpa. He was an airplane mechanic in Australia and New Zealand during the war.
Looks like the crispy!Master.
