"you've got to be more careful," she mutters with an uncharacteristically serious look on her face as she rubs some weird healing balm on your bruised hand. it's cold and makes your hairs stand on end-- but the sight of her taking care of you like this is enough to stop the slightly unpleasant feel of it all. you were so used to seeing her with a large grin as she rants about her newest trap and what she was going to name it, or maybe with pure anger as solomon dodges yet another one of her traps that the frown that decorates her face makes your heart twist guiltily for making her worry. though you have to admit, it does look cute on her. it makes you want to kiss it away.
"i promise it isn't as bad as it looks, i've dealt with worse y'know," she doesn't smile at your little quip, her frown deepens and she stops gently massaging your injury.
"i just... don't like seeing you hurt," she hesitates like she isn't sure she should be saying this at all. her eyes don't meet yours and instead are back to focusing on your hand, though try as she might-- she can't hide the charming pink that creeps up to her cheeks.
then all of a sudden, she feels a pair of lips on hers. eyes widening in shock, she doesn't have time to respond in the way she would have liked (bashful yet cool, totally not completely in love with this plain but lovely human that woefully captured her heart without even really trying) before you pull away.
"i'll try not to, no promises though~" your cheeky smile does nothing to help with the reaper's blush.
