Medaka Box speculations
Does anyone remember the Plus Six? Y'know, those six Abnormals in the Thirteen Party that were "Abnormals among Abnormals"? Remember how they didn't show us a damn thing about Gunki or Hamaya's Abnormalities? What the hell do you think they were? Well, if anyone finds this, here are my theories. Gunki's project name was Death Watch, which in kanji, according to every site I go to, still translates to "Death Watch." Now, I get the feeling that this either means he can see, or watch, the amount of time someone has left to live/see how they are fated to die or fail OR allows him to set some kind of timer on them that results in some kind of explosion like Gensuru from Hunter X Hunter. Hamaya's project name was Love, which I've found translates to First Love in kanji. Given that he's apparently an archer, I get the feeling that his ability is pheromone manipulation, making him kind of like Cupid. Either that or some kind of emotion manipulation thing. Granted, that sounds a lot like Usa Hannayaji's "Erotic Pierrot" which controls sexual lust.
