okay here you go the moment you’ve all been waiting for: voltron overwatch headcanons (this is @threepwillow‘s fault and mostly just because she asked so here we are)

pidge: competent with pretty much every character on the roster, favors sombra since the buff, but previously preferred mei. always hacks the best, most relevant health packs and has an uncanny sense of timing when it comes to hacking enemies who are about to ult. pidge is also every shitlord you’ve ever played with and is the torbojorn whose potg is just a visual of torb sitting in a corner while the turret gets a quad kill.  will absolutely t bag you. spends too much money on loot boxes. silver portrait. pidge please stop playing overwatch and go to sleep.

hunk: is a great zarya. is a GREAT zarya, holy shit. you don’t know how he figures out who the prime barrier target is, but he’s always at max charge and pins people to the goddamn wall with that laser pointer.  not super great at communicating his ult; “hey guys I’m just gonna--I’m just gonna, like, toss it in there okay?  rrrRRIGHT NOW OKAY GET IN THERE.  guys??”  “we’re all dead, dude”. also loves playing lucio to bits and pieces, shouts SPEED BOOST or HEALING BOOST when he changes tunes. hunk always gets 8 likes on his post-game card. he’s trying to improve his winston game.

lance: mains tracer and s76. you might think that because lance is the team sharpshooter, he’s effective with sniper class heroes. nope. the team doesn’t let him play widowmaker anymore because he just emotes so he can look at her butt. he’s a terrible hanzo and always fires the dragons 20 degrees in the wrong direction. ana doesn’t headshots so what’s the point. lance is the tracer the other team SCREAMS about because they can never find him to exact their revenge for that sticky grenade on their mercy. he will absolutely, 100% fucking eviscerate you as s76. lance is MADE of headshots. lays down a spray after every good play just in case he gets potg. spams “cheers mate” at any given opportunity.

keith:  plays genji. “what a cop out,” you may be thinking, “that keith plays genji.” listen.  keith is a fantastic genji, partially because he’s a very bad anything else. and he isn’t the annoying piece of shit genji that spams for healing every 3 hp he loses, because he knows where every single health pack is and capitalizes on pidge’s hack packs. absolutely merciless when it comes to hunting down and eliminating enemy healers. supernaturally lucky when it comes to loot boxes. that screenshot of the box that had all four legendary halloween skins? that was keith, and lance didn’t speak to him for three days after.

shiro: has a great eye for team comp, so he’ll switch into whatever role needs to be filled or to counter the other team. most comfortable with s76, reinhardt, pharah. incredibly, shiro is straight vicious as ana?? you did not know that ana potgs existed until you played with shiro. makes perfect calls and is always around to defend his healers or squishier dps, yet still manages to maintain gold medals for objective time. seriously, he’s always around to back up his teammates, except for that one time keith was dead with the flu so they let slav sub in on a few competitive matches.  towards the end, slav was somehow the only one who didn’t make it behind shiro’s shield all four times the enemy pharah ulted.

allura: a very very very very good symmetra, and places turrets in bits of environmental camouflage so enemies are long past melted by the time they figure out where the beams are coming from, and prefers the teleporter over the shield generator. plays a competent mercy, but does not particularly enjoy playing mercy unless she can go full-on pHARMacist. can fling d.va’s mech from three galaxies away and still get a team kill.

coran: coran only plays when allura is taking a snack break. enjoys playing junkrat and is an enthusiastic, if terrible, bastion. absolutely entranced by every single one of mccree’s skins.

please tell me more about the figure skating foxes au. I love figure skating so much

WELL THANK YOU FOR ASKING (pulling a little bit from the foxes + other sports/physical activity they’re good at hc’s waiting in my drafts)

(feel like i should also mention that i am very much just a Spectator and i don’t know anything about actual logistics and stuff. just pretend it makes sense)

wymack is the head coach of the foxes, a controversial skating club that only accepts kids from broken homes

plenty of their skaters rank pretty well in competitions but they rarely ever medal, so u.s. figure skating is constantly harassing them

the ravens are the best skating club around (think eteri tutberidze’s sambo 70) but are also very controversial for a number of reasons

probably the biggest one is kevin day, who is the daughter of skating legend kayleigh day (she invented a complicated spin + exit move that is officially known as the “kayleigh”)

after her death, he was adopted by “family friend” kengo moriyama, who is the head coach of the ravens

riko and kevin are their star skaters and have massive fan followings, but there’s always been rumors kevin is forced to limit himself so as to not outshine riko, who is kengo’s nephew

(riko is really only good for jumps. his artistic quality is lacking. but kevin?? kevin’s artistic quality is INSANE. he glides, he floats, he whirls around, he’s very mesmerizing.)

but one day there’s an ~accident~ that occurred during practice and kevin’s ankle is absolutely busted

he temporarily leaves the ravens to be assistant coach for the foxes while healing, but he eventually switches clubs completely which causes DRAMA

a few months after this, the foxes acquire a mysterious new skater: neil josten, from arizona (not exactly a skating hub)

i am also not exactly sure how the mafia war would work in this but i’m writing these quickly so i’ll probably figure it out later

the foxes are already a pretty small group, with interesting characters

there’s the fan favorite allison reynolds, who famously deserted an olympics guaranteed coach for the foxes (although it’s rumored a falling out with her parents forced the switch, not her own choice)

her ice dance partner is seth, who wants a medal enough that it keeps him in the club, even though his relationship with her is rocky at best

matt and dan are pair skaters (tol and smol means they can do throw jumps like nobody’s business)

renee is known on the international stage as the “american sweetheart” and her friendship with nicky is iconic

nicky’s twin cousins andrew and aaron aren’t as camera friendly but their skill cannot be ignored

andrew is famous for his cantilever

abby is the team trainer, betsy is the psychologist that wymack sends them all to even though that’s not required by the association, and katelyn is abby’s intern (which is how she and aaron meet)

instead of winning the ncaa championship it’s all about getting on the podium at nationals

because figure skating is so expensive and wymack knows they’re coming from rough backgrounds, he has all of his foxes live in the same apartment complex with him 

which can be......a lot

neil is definitely not ready for nationals when he first joins, but kevin sees Potential in him and makes him do the whole “give me your skate” 

andreil obviously happens

(idk how neil and andrew can smoke and like not hack up their lungs doing triple combinations and stuff but the same could be said of exy)

seth does not d-word

teamwork™ is not that important but the fact that they’re all sharing the ice every day kinda demands that they get along a decent amount

andrew, at some point while they’re lacing up their skates: “these aren’t the only blades i have on me right now” 

neil: 

andrew: *reveals the knives under his armbands*

neil: “what the Fuck. what the absolute FuCk. wH-”

andrew: “oh and they used to be renee’s” 

neil: *blacks out*

sectionals/regionals come and go, neil really pulls through for the club, he also gets kidnapped and when he returns he makes the conscious decision not to cover up his scars with makeup while performing

the ravens reveal that riko has been perfecting quads and all the headlines are like “only man ever to successfully do quads wow who could ever beat him who could ever-” 

kevin: “me”

anyways when nationals come it’s pretty obvious that the real competition is now between the foxes and the ravens

wymack does his cool speech

the foxes show up for each other’s events to show support even though they could be resting/training some more

the whole season kevin has been holding off on really complicated jumps because of his healing ankle, but just minutes before his long program (which is his last chance before medals) wymack tweets on his behalf that kevin will be doing a series of quads

the tweet quickly goes viral, spreads through the audience, and by the time his name has been announced everyone is LOSING IT

all the foxes are huddled up together, watching nervously

kevin executes his quads flawlessly, and at the end of his program, he does a modified version of the “kayleigh”

he finishes to thunderous applause and maybe everyone is weeping

and THAT is how kevin day wins nationals

&&. announcing her grace, ( maya alison moñforzh ), the ( 39 ) year old ( duchess ) of ( brittany ). she is often confused with ( rebecca hall ). some say that she is ( demanding and judgemental ), but she is actually ( funny and creative ).  (for loïc wife and the swedes’ cousin)

tl;dr: Daughter of a former Swedish prince and an American woman. Ohio girl. Out of college got a job as a staff member of a royal. Met Loïc. Fell in love. Got married. All over the branding for Brittany. Frankly, she hasn’t had to do much until everything went to hell. Probably aligned with the French because she’s not stupid.

Maya’s father was a Swedish prince who fell in love with an American school teacher. In order to marry her, he had to give up any claim to the throne. He did so happily and gave up his title of prince, keeping only his title of Duke of Södermanland because his mother asked him to.

Maya was born in Sweden but raised in America. For all intent and purposes, she was a normal American girl. She knew that her father was born a prince but he went to work every day at a publishing house and mowed the lawn and came to her ballet recitals so she had no reason to think of him any differently than any of her friends’ fathers.

Maya studied English at Case Western and got her minor in marketing because she felt like she needed a skill that was, well, marketable. Once she graduated, what Maya really wanted to do was write the next great American novel but she needed a job. So, her father used some of his remaining friendships and got her a job on the staff of a royal.

Here is where Maya found her calling. She loved the fast-paced action of the press team, the detailed work of the branding team, the glittering surrounding of the palace. Still, Maya was no princess though people started to identify her as former Prince Alrick’s daughter. She loved the fantasy of it, the fancy parties but it wasn’t who she was. She was just a girl from Ohio.

Then she met Loïc. And boy, was she in love. To be any more in love would be embarrassing. She was already walking around quoting Shakespeare over his cheekbones. Maya quite her job and they got married. It

Maya probably didn’t think through the bit where now her whole life is about being nobility. She doesn’t get to be little Maya with the freckles from Lakewood. Now she’s a Duchess and someone has to do the job.

She’s very clever and keeps things close to the chest. The Moñforzh family is in good standing and Maya didn’t have to do a whole lot if she’s honest. She could just raise her kids and do tourist campaigns like once a year. But then everything fell apart and they had to pick a side.

Maya is mostly trying to stay good with everyone. England and France are on their border and she doesn’t want to get caught in any crossfire from any war. She’s stuck close to France, unwilling to pick that battle. Her children’s lives are more important that her moral high ground.

Fast Facts:

Wears makeup but not enough to cover her freckles because she thinks they’re cute. Studies Shakespeare in college and will tell you about it. Was funny in 2005, we’ll see if it holds up. Has an Ohio accent and will not let it go. Doesn’t really know her Swedish cousins but wouldn’t mind getting to know them. Mom jeans. Will kill spiders for a fee. Maya ‘then perish’ Moñforzh

22. What does your character like in other people?

Swanface, surprisingly, has a thing for cats who are nearly the opposite of her. She gets along well with those who are more open, friendly, and just generally not as rude. Her very first friends, Sunfrost and Applenose, are pretty good examples of this. They were both very kind and caring cats, never backing down even when Swanface grumbled and hissed at them.

Crowpaw...well, quite honestly, he likes cats who admire him, who will give him praise. He’s a friendly guy, so there isn’t much he doesn’t like, but he is rather fond of cats who he feels like he can either protect and therefore earn their praise, or cats who he can impress.

Brindlekit adores absolutely everyone, really, but particularly likes those who have a passion for helping others as she does. This will lead to her looking up to authority figures, particularly medicine cats, as they help heal their clanmates.

Mantis is fond of those who are open and honest due to her trust issues. While someone being an open book still might not make her look at them with any less suspicion, she at least appreciates cats who don’t feel the need to hide their true feelings...ironic considering she does this a lot of the time, but still.

Peach has an admiration for cats with bravery and courage. She looks up to those who can stand up for themselves, who are bold and speak their minds. She tends to latch on to cats who are more forceful or pushy, trusting them to be able to care for her and make her decisions as she feels unable to do so herself.

23. does your character dislike in other people?

Swanface dislikes anybody who argues or disagrees with her...because she’s petty like that. She doesn’t enjoy cats who disobey rules constantly. She’s willing to forgive it depending on the situation, but will become angered at code breakers or those who cause constant trouble.

Crowpaw can’t stand cats who are too similar to him, which is to say cats with big egos. The competition drives him mad, and having to hear others brag about how much better they are makes him beyond furious. Crowpaw thinks that he’s the best, and everybody needs to accept it.

Brindlekit...well, it’s really hard for her to dislike anyone. She’d probably have a difficult time with cats who don’t care for anyone but themselves. Even then she’d try to get along with them somehow.

Mantis dislikes cats who shove their power or authority in other cats’ faces. She’s not fond of liars, either.

Peach dislikes cats who are just straight up brutal or mindless. While she does enjoy those who are a bit more outgoing, she has a hard time around those who react with harsh words and even harsher actions.
