someone just told me that I wasn’t a feminist.
I just had a conversation with a man that ended with me fighting against the urge to tell him to fuck off. I said I was a feminist and he said “no you’re not.” I reiterated that I am, in fact, a feminist. He said “you don’t do anything for feminism or women’s rights, you’re not a feminist.” BITCH. I’m a feminist because I hate the fact that my gender doesn’t have equal pay. I’m a feminist because women are taught to cover up so that men won’t be tempted to touch them. I’m a feminist because men are allowed to do whatever they fucking want and expect there to be no consequences. I’m a feminist because “boys will be boys” is still said in 2018. I’m a feminist because I still have to work to be seen as an equal. So yes I am a feminist. It doesn’t matter if it’s obvious or not. So to the man who said he was “just messing with me...”
