Getting back treatments was not quite what I envisioned for mid-life events, but I'm trying to do it with grace by rocking it in sexy medical gowns 🤣🤣🤭*

41, yo. I guess I’m supposed to feel different, but honestly it’s just like every other birthday since 26 has felt (I had some sort of weird quarter-life crisis when I turned 25 and … yeah. Idek). I don’t think so much about myself and what’s different; instead it’s more … whoa, I only have one remaining grandmother and she’s 88 now. And my baby guy is ten. And the one who made me a mom will be 14 next week and that was five minutes ago, I swear to God.

I care so little about what anyone outside of my family thinks or does now. I guess that’s the big difference between the me who came here six years ago in search of all the validation and me now. I am a firm believer in doing whatever works and whatever is best for those I love (and nowadays that includes me), and I have no time for anything else. Social media keeps me up on the latest news from my Korean boys and shows me pretty pictures of Maine when I can’t be there, and that’s it. It isn’t lonely like I feared it would be. It’s excellent. I know exactly what and who is worth my time and energy, and leave out all the rest.

You'd think at 41, I would have learned how to wear a bikini without falling out of it by now...

I guess I still have more learning to do 🤣🤭🎉

I most certainly had a quarter-life crisis of sorts in my 20s. 🤣🤣

Now at 41? I wake up with a new hairbrain idea each day and I'm nowhere near a crisis. It's been more like a magic carpet ride 🤣🤣🧞‍♀️
