If I may ask. How exactly does the mist work in "Magic's Crossroad"? In chapter nine it seemed like the mist worked like it did in PJO and on one of the fake tweet Jack could see the sword, that with the mist, he wouldn't have been able to see. Are the tweets not cannon or is there something deeper to why the mist acts like it does?

So to start off the Mist is a veil between the Divine and Mortal worlds. In PJO this veil is alive and well, Yuu mentions it's suspended in the air at all times, constantly active and doing its job. The Mist obscures reality at all times no matter what

In TWST however that's not quite the case.

Yuu mentions as soon as they wake up in the coffin that the Mist is a dormant layer above the floor. It still exists but it's not active in the way it is back in PJO. It has no reason to be, the Divine and supernatural are common knowledge. There's nothing to hide

But it still exists as a dormant force, so Yuu can still manipulate it and use it as they need.

So, to put all this simply, unless Yuu is actively using it, the Mist isn't doing anything. Think of it as similar to an illusionary spell Yuu is casting, as long as they're holding it it works. When they're not holding it, it doesn't

So in the case of Jack and the sword, Yuu isn't trying to hide it so he can see it

The tweets also exist in the same nebulous space that events do. That is, they're not not canon but they're also not quite canon either

almost a week in, and Marco’s crush still pisses me the heck off.

It’s lack of set-up

How little it needed to be in the episode

how the fandom is treating it like it was good writing, even though we spent a whole season building up Star’s crush...and spent like 2 minutes building up any for Marco ((And not very well might i add))

how pointless this makes his relationship with jackie

how it doesn’t even make any sense, since Marco’s been called Star’s bf countless times but only NOW does this seem to get to him.

the fandom using the excuse that marco was in denial this whole time, which is a lazy excuse for the show to not give him any real developments.

That Marco had to be told he had a crush, instead of coming to any realization himself.

That Marco never showed any real attraction to Star, for 2 seasons, but now suddenly does because potatoes.

That apparently Star is “rebounding” onto Tom, but i guess Marco liking Star doesn’t also count as “Rebounding”? despite how little that breakup seemed to mean to him and how quickly he got into star after it was over?

Geez, i thought the line from Just Friends upset me enough with “Show don’t tell”, but this one tops it.

Interesting Book Plot Points for those that haven't read.

There are only about 35 werewolves in the North American continent.  That's it.

There are only (prior to Bitten) three bitten werewolves in the North American continent.  Two of the three are Clay and Elena.

As mentioned in the show, male babies are taken from their mothers soon after birth, were as female babies are left with their mothers.  This is due to the fact that raising even female children puts the Pack at risk for exposure.

Post-turning, werewolves aren't affected by human diseases.  **I am not sure if a were could catch something like rabies**

Elena survives the turn, not by being a special snowflake, but because she's 1) genetically predisposed to the were genes (she's related to the Russian? weres), 2) she has Jeremy work with her through every step of the way, 3) because she's too damned stubborn to die.

According to the books, Clay didn't bite her for heroic reasons.  Clay's just Clay and didn't want to give her up.
