Just thinking about the way Eurylochus confesses to freeing the storm in ‘Scylla.’ The way he begs his captain, his best friend, for forgiveness, and is ignored. The way he betrays said best friend in an act of desperation to protect what few crew members remain, and is immediately forced to choose between starvation and insulting the gods. The way he is betrayed in turn, and dies without ever gaining closure. The way he dies - betrayed and unforgiven.

Just thinking about that.
