The Fatui genuinely intrigue me so much
The Tsaritsa, Pierro, Pantalone, Dottore, Arlecchino, Tartaglia, Scaramouche, La Signora, Capitano, Sandrone, Pulcinella… and perhaps Columbina.
The ones we know, all of them are seemingly products of the flaws of Teyvat and I find that so interesting. Teyvat and its people seem flawless and amazing, but the harbingers show the opposite of that and I really like that.
Anyhow, I’m just gonna dump here what constellation I think correlates to which harbinger.
Dottore is self-explanatory- The plague doctor mask just fits far too well.
Capitano… I mostly put him there because the constellation reminded me of one of those general’s medals, and at that point I think you can out two and two together.
Pierro is also self-explanatory. The tragedy mask for the tragic fool.
Now Pulcinella… he’s a fun one. I remember, I was looking closely at his Teyvat chapter storyline artwork. It seems to have quite a bit of… religious imagery, kind of? The stained glass windows in the background, the crosses on his outfit and on the chair… Along with his outfit looking like a mix of a Russian uniform and a priest’s outfit. It made me think his position in the Fatui might be something like being an arch bishop or some religious position among the Harbingers. And… you know who else was a famous holy man from Russia? Rasputin. Rasputin acted as a healer, right? So of course, why not attribute the Healer’s Hand constellation to someone who might just be Genshin Rasputin? Of course, I might just be grasping at straws…
Sandrone, again, self-explanatory. The Puppet gets the constellation of a puppet.
Tartaglia’s is canon.
Signora is obvious, the witch of flames closely related to moths gets the moth constellation.
Scaramouche is also obvious. A person holding a heart, a vessel of a god.
Pantalone’s also an interesting one. The way I see it, it looks like both a heart and a hand. Specifically, it looks like a grasping hand. By the fatui’s will and by their hand, they will cease the flow of the lifeblood of the world, money. Cease the beating of a heart made of gold.
Columbina has not been namedropped once in the game, so we can’t know for sure- But based on the constellation, it’s likely her. It’s the image of a crying dove, and Columbina in english means “little dove.” Fitting.
Arlecchino is hard to explain, though. I only put him there because he was the only Fatui harbinger left in the list. But the fact it uses three nails… Well, it would probably represent sacrifice in this scenario, since it’s a symbol of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ…
So yeah basically, here’s who I think the Harbingers constellation correlate to.
