MH Rosswood Theory

Alright, so I'm not one for posting theories or rambling about my favorite media too much on here (because I'm a lil shy), but I just saw the finale for Rosswood and hour ago and I think I figured out the implications of that tunnel scene.

Spoilers ahead.

Alright, guys... Jay killed Alex.

This whole time we were expecting Alex to be turned by the Operator, but I think it instead influenced Jay and made him kill Alex without realizing it.

First Piece of Evidence is of course, this depressing display where Jay is sitting on his 'bed', completely out of it, oblivious to Alex screaming and crying out for his help. So we can see here clearly that Jay is not in his right state of mind and has been made to ignore his friend, which we know he wouldn't have done otherwise.

That's just a small detail though. The real -- evidence is in the tunnel.

So, as other people have pointed out that these lights are probably a reference to the comics, where Jessica sees Alex standing at the end of that same tunnel with his eyes are lit up. --- And in the video, Jay even seems to believe that the figure at the end of the tunnel is Alex.

Now... Jay isn't the most reliable or mentally stable person at that very moment, so he could've just been hallucinating, but we gotta work with what we got here. So let's just assume the lights are indeed Alex, or a manifestation of Alex conjured up by the Operator. Okay, now this next part is VERY important. Note what Jay does in this scene!...

The camera distorts, Jay coughs and appears to dop the camera.

When then get this shot of Jay looking woozy from, what we can only assume as, the figure (Alex's) point of view.

Jay looks up at the camera, and he's got distortion in his eyes.

Now this is the most important part. When I first saw this, I thought Jay collapsed into the unknown (Alex's) point of view.

But when I watched it back in slow motion, it instead looks like Jay was actually LUNGING at the point of view! He throws his shoulders upward and his hands cover the screen! --- Like he's ATTACKING the camera (whom again, we are assuming is ALEX's point of view)!

I'm sure Troy and Joseph wanted to leave it ambiguous, but I'm certain this is the point of the scene, I cannot rationalize why else this scene and all these little details exist otherwise!

This scene is a recreation of Jay killing Alex; meaning at some point, after Jay had dropped the camera, he and Alex were probably separated for a long period of time (hence the screaming). However, they did eventually find each other, only for the Operator to suddenly take over Jay's mental state, and force him to kill his friend. Alex spent an ungodly amount of time, in the dark, screaming and crying for his friend --- and when he did, he was killed by him. Which is just ---- SO Depressing but so deliciously evil.

Troy and Joseph, at this point I don't know if I wanna shake your hands or if I wanna THROW SOME HANDS---

Regarding the demon bros feeling you die ask, I remember reading some headcanons about one of the demon bros (can't remember which one, sorry) being able to feel the mc's emotions and just. Imagine the bros that have made pacts with the mc at that point in time feeling panic and fear and pain and then nothing at all.

Okay but kinda crazy theory. There’s no point in Clarke injecting herself with the bone marrow in the end because Abby destroyed the radiation chamber and they found the bunker. BUT if they were going to have Clarke give herself the new serum and then just pretend it didn’t happen and drop that storyline that would be insane and, frankly, crappy writing. So what if they’re in the bunker at the end and radiation somehow seeps in because it wasn’t sealed properly or something and because Clarke’s the only one who got the treatment she’s the only one who survives it. And what if Clarke has to sit in this bunker while she watches radiation kill off all her people and everyone she cares about because she’s the only one who got the serum and that’s how season 4 ends????
