Reading Thousand Autumns: Chapter 121

The longer I think about it

The more I realize how horrible this punishment is for this man specifically.

Not only does Tan Yuanchan have to guard the tomb of his shizun-- who he believed left him in the shadows. But he also has to forever life under the watch of his shidi as sect leader-- constantly reminded of his perceived failure in life.

He'll never get a resolution from the corpse of his shizun and will forever be in Shen Qiao's shadow. So fucking harsh.
