I need a Travel Companion

That's my official decision.

I need a travel companion.

I want to travel to more places and countries but am too nervous to actually go alone.

Which is hard for me since I want to, I wish I had the confidence to go alone. Maybe someday I will but for now I just want someone to travel with. Especially since I get Hilton hotels so cheap for being a team member 😭

And none of my friends can travel easily.

So obviously my next step is a Travel Buddy.

It'll never happen.

This ought to be interesting. Or insane.

Tomorrow I’m going to try and install a Linux distribution in a virtual machine, followed by WINE, and then try to install some old Windows software inside the virtual machine.

I’m not sure what will explode first, but I’m not very optimistic about this.

The program in question does have an entry in the WINE database, but it’s from 2008 and it wasn’t working very well. So who knows if it’s going to work now.

The fun part is that I’m going to jump through these hoops because the old program doesn’t work on modern Windows systems and the newer software deliberately obfuscates key features to lock out potential competitors.

However, if everything DOES somehow work properly, then it’ll be worth it many times over, even if it’s like building a model ship in a bottle.
