honestly it was the percy jackson fandom when i was like 14? i think. maybe 13. i had read it here and there and i liked writing stories so i wrote horrible oc pjo fanfics on fanfiction.net

this question prompted me to dig deep and open the google doc that has the code for the recs page that i took off my blog in likeee 2020. pre-d20 fandom for sure. which like i wish i kept it up then bc i think i've forgotten every d20 fic i've ever read somehow i really need to start keeping bookmarks. anyway have this old troy/abed from community fic that i swear by bc i saw it and it's random but it slaps

not like bad weird but weirdly specific. a few months ago i was looking into immigration statistics from china to canada pre WW2 for an offhand line about a character that didn't even appear physically in the fic. like for over an hour

I sent you an ask a few years ago (actually it's been almost 3 years exactly, I think) when I was super new to posting my art online, and you replied with this really encouraging message and drew me, and it really inspired me to keep working at art. Anyway, I remembered it out of the blue today, and I realized how much I've improved since then, so I just wanted to say thank you for playing a part in that. You really impacted me, and it still means a lot <3

Your art has changed and improved so much since then in so many ways! I’m really glad I was able to inspire you, I had hoped at the time the drawing would make you smile but I never imagined it would have enough impact that you would still think about it years later. A lot of times I think my art doesn’t really matter to the world and I’ve been thinking about you and this ask for days as an argument against that. It is so cool we were able to connect this way and I hope you keep going with your art! You are doing awesome :)
