this is another law question sorry :( Im just wondering, you said in one post that the important thing is to have diverse and strong interests outside of law, and Im wondering how/why you or other people you know decided to pursue law instead of those interests as a career. I mean I realize you probably cant analyze House for a living but as someone whose chosen career is increasingly evaporating in the pandemic Im wondering when things become pipe dreams or if law has always appealed to you.
@thisbusymonster well, i’ve liked law/policy/arguing with people and for me it was a balance of: what can i do that i enjoy AND it also gives me a chance at helping people AND it also gives me a lot of career/geographical flexibility? So that narrowed it down to law or writing fiction, but i write on the side and im planning it out so i can take time off to do more of it....so i figured id have a job that makes money first
