Nevermind that a child without a backbone would have the nerve to order him about, the Spirit seemingly ignored him as embers continued to examine the toy before setting it down. ❝You haven't given me a reason not to be curious. ❞ The child as strange enough, his mind could only be exploited so many times before his attention would inevitably be adverted elsewhere. Gods forbid he show a little interest.
❝ It's not like I would hurt any of your precious belongings, weird as they are. ❞ Not a compliment by any means, but there was so little he could do when confined. ❝ I'm bored. ❞

Atem nearly dropped his drink.
"Ah--" He paused, considering. "I don't think so...exactly...um..." Another pause. "I was--s-sleeping with Mahaad and Seto...does...that count?"
Woops.

"Nope, just the super cute princes." He said teasingly and he flopped on Heba's bed. He had gotten in the habit into wearing Servant clothing while he visited Heba as to not cause anymore suspicion.
"I'll stop if you like."
Imagine bullying a Goddess into leaving the mortal plane. Couldn't be me.
Many who understood the pain of loneliness and despair, of noble blood to the peasants who walked these palace walls. Isis knew the consequence of her uninvited presence, a son of Ra should never feel displaced in a land that required him to be strong.
Isis almost saw her son, a child who under her guidance would become the Morning and Evening star. This child, however, had no such claim. The Goddess knew where to find the little Prince, having witness the cruelty thrown his way that made her blood boil and rage fuel her vision. No child should know the pain of being abandoned and cast aside, but what could she have done? The Goddess only appeared to those who she wanted to see, and if this child needed her, Isis would comply without complaint.
Such is a duty of a Goddess, to be by the Prince's side. Heba was no Pharaoh, but he was still of royal blood. "I am not to judge what is considered Princely or not," Her voice was low, soothing as she rubbed comforting circles into the Prince's back, fingernails carefully dragging along his tunic. "Merely to offer guidance and comfort, should you desire it."
Nobles could be so cruel, she knew. To pick on the weak and the defenceless. The Pharaoh only avoided such cruelties because of his title. A title her son viewed worthy to give a mortal man who claimed divinity. A child of royal blood, Pharaoh or not, deserved as much respect as his brethren. A burden, he could never be.
"Tell me, sweet one, why do you not stick up for yourself?" Her question settled with an obvious answer. Isis knew better, but to see this child cry hurt far more than it should have. "You are the Pharaoh's brother, surely, you are allowed to act out if you should please."

"Yuugi, what do you say we go on a date~?"
Observation and impatiently waiting was never the Spirit's forte. For how long has he simply been sitting on the sidelines, waiting for the most opportune moment to make himself known? Too long, for the Spirit's liking. To grow accustomed to this new body, to divulge into this child's fears, hopes and dreams, his aspirations. Whatever made his vessel.. well, his vessel.
The Spirit would wait, only showing himself to those who crossed unwarranted paths with his host. Like a parasite, he sustained himself so long as his vessel was safe and cared after, but sitting docile in the dark only did him so much before he would inevitably become bored..
A low chuckle, disembodied and unbelonging. The child remained so blissfully ignorant of the power that so conveniently fell into the palms of his grubby little hands. To say he was surprised that he had gone unnoticed for this long was both impressive and pathetic all the same.
Even still, it would be time to make himself known to the boy who had so unwillingly and unknowingly shared his little body.
❝Are you willfully ignorant?❞ His question rhetorical, but held a slight air of seriousness. Had this child been this dull before the Spirit came to him? ❝Your confusion is your own ignorance. You choose not to see the bitterness of the truth. It scares you, because it's not pretty and simple.❞
