I know this is hard to believe and you may not even want to, I remember I didn’t. But the little joys will come back

CAROLIIIIINE
i hadn't heard this one before so I looked this up and it killed me
It is SO PERFECT FOR HIM I CAN'T
I'm trying to share some lyrics but IT IS TRULY ALL OF THEM
"ain't been the same since I met her"
"And she's a rose among the weeds And I'm the joke among the thieves Like a saint who's taking in a sinner"
and Just the Whole Premise. "She's trying to love you boy, why don't you let her"
HIS JOURNEY. HIS STORY.
[shrieks into the void]
1,5,26!!!
thank you for asking!!
1) Which book would you consider the best book you’ve ever read and why?
I know it’s a cliche, but probably the Great Gatsby. nobody does it for me the way Fitzgerald does. every sentence he writes is golden, every word measured. everybody knows this book is a masterclass in metaphor and theme and i just love how TIGHT it is as a narrative. and it’s also such a timeless story despite being rooted in a very specific historical period. we are all borne ceaselessly into the past like boats against the current!!
5) What was your relationship with books like as a child?
loved them! my mom got me started on short stories for kids as soon as i learned to read. we had this boxset - it was a bunch of Disney classics in the form of illustrated short stories, and they were small and colorful and had the prettiest framed cover arts. it all started there for me, I think i read Beauty and the Beast like 20 times. I loved them even more than the movies.
26) A book you studied in school and ended up loving?
Hamlet like, changed me as a human being.
