Day43-45❤- " Happy New Year friends!" Home and feeling incredibly blessed that I finally get to spend time with the rest of my family and friends. They all wanted to say "HEY!!!!" It has been an incredible six weeks and my spirit has been restored in every way possible. Seeing these faces and getting hugs and kisses after all of this time is the cherry on top. Day:42❤ "Who would have known" Everyday for the last 3weeks I watched this rose. My moms garden has become a place of solitude and meditation but often I'm chased inside by rain. As the showers pour my first thought is usually of the fragile yellow rose. "Will it survive this storm?" I believe I was drawn to it because it reminds me of myself but what you see pictured now is not what it once was. The harsh rain fall often made it seem like there was no hope. It did not look like this rose would survive against the conditions of its environment. It was small, beat up, lifeless at times and everyday was more bleak than the day previous. Then today, this: IT BLOOMED! The sun had graced this rose at the perfect moment and the rain made sense. Often what beats us down is the most beneficial aspect of our process to transformation. I remember waking up daily over the past three and a half years, whispering to myself "This can't be life". I sat at a desk for 8hrs feeling small. My goals and dreams had never felt so distant and my environment seemed to be against me. None of it made sense until now. I didn't know the constant rain storm in my life was building character, integrity and faith. I had no clue why I was stuck until I wasn't. I had been battling the rain yet not noticing the sun peaking; ultimately providing me with everything I needed. The moment I stopped concentrating on what was against me: I Bloomed! I no longer resent my rainy season for it was my humble beginning and every negative experience was preparing me for the greatness I now see. Above all else, I hold an unshakable faith that what is for me is greater than what's against me. DAY 41❤- "Squad Goals 3/6!" I'm so lucky to have these two chocolate drops here with me. My little sister and older brother are such awesome people; to know them is to love them and yes! I'm bias. They play way too much, we laugh non-stop and someone is constantly yelling "Stop!". To my parents we are big kids but that's a label we are totally fine with. My last few days have been made even more fun because of them and I am incredibly excited that we will all finally be together for good in the new year! Day39&40❤️- "Soaking it in" As my last few days in Cuenca, Ecuador quickly approach everything seems more clear. I've passed this cathedral in Centro histórico de Cuenca several times and I'm sure I've commented on its beauty each of those times but yesterday I really saw it. It may have been the sky's overcast that made the magnificent blue domes more prevalent or that I was just so incredibly present. My mind, body and soul were all in attendance and in that very moment I was able to get this shot. My time here has been one lesson after the other in 'showing up' at life; being available for everything God and the universe have to offer. As I walked, my spirit whispered "look up" and there it was in all it's glory.
