Silver Lining
Today is surgery number two of my reconstruction surgeries, hopefully just one more after this. Even though it was cold yesterday, it was so beautiful as we enjoyed one more walk.
And today, as we left for the hospital, the mountain was out to greet us once again!
Just a shower today, no makeup, but thanks to my daughter I get to show up to the hospital in designer sweats 😂
Though I wouldn’t choose to have to have so many surgeries (this will be the 4th surgery over the last year and a half) when else would I actually have the opportunity to rearrange my body fat?!!! I’ve always joked about taking some fat from “here” and moving “there”, but now I actually get to do it! So today I get to say goodbye to some hips and I’m not gonna lie, kind of happy about that 😂. This is the silver lining of breast cancer!
I’m so thankful for my friends and family that have been so supportive - even offering up their own body fat for me 🤣. Thank you for all the help that’s been offered, more importantly, your prayers! I am blessed. And now, I’m going to take a little nap!
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
