May 15th: When I walked into that deans office I didn't expect him to tell me that college just wasn't for me... and had that been 2 years or maybe even a year prior... I would have believed him. I would have walked out of that office with my head hung low and said "Welp, that's it. You heard it with your own 2 ears... you cannot do this. You can't be a social worker. And this whole goal is over." Thank god that feeling of defeat 🙏🏽 was 2 years ago and not that day! You never know what your words can do to someone. What kind of impact you could have on someone's life. And I admit that could have tore me down but... I didn't let it. I could have even tore him down but I didn't.
