For a week now, I have been thinking I should do something to get back to a routine, get fit and adopt a better lifestyle. So I have decided am going to start from tomorrow. I am not working for the next ten days, so it should be easier to follow through. Drawing inspiration from the 75 Hard program and several countless blogs I’ve read in the last three years, dreaming that one day even I will get back to being consistent, here goes!
Why am I doing this?
I have not been feeling good, been lazy and lethargic and fatigued. Reaching out for quick fixes and overall just doing a lot of things that are not good in the long term. I am also at the heaviest I have ever been, I hate looking at pictures with my face in it and I just feel uncomfortable with how big I have gotten.
This is strange, because am currently so comfortable in my skin. Except for avoiding photos, I am almost indifferent about my appearance and how I might be perceived. But for all the right reasons, I need to get back on track before there is permanent damage.
I also good a full blood work done and the glucose levels are alarming. So I am doing this to create a better lifestyle and be the best version of myself.
What are my goals?
Since this whole project is motivated by not feeling healthy, my goal is to bring down my sugar levels and just overall feel better. Here is what I will do
1. No refined sugar, cakes, chocolates, nothing. (Only fruit for cravings)
2. No alcohol for 75 days
3. Read 10 pages a day
4. Two 45-min workouts daily (10,000 steps)
5. Blog about my day everyday (Min 300 words)
6. 4 liters of water daily
7. Meditate daily (Min 10 mins)
Trying to keep this simple so I don’t set myself up for failure. Of course, with the above list my main motive will be to lose weight and some inches. Will update progress on that as we go.
Starting weight - 98 kgs
Will do my measurements every Monday!
Wish me luck!!!!
