Book 1: GUT- The inside story of our body's most under-rated organ
A fun and interesting read for anyone curious about how what we eat could influence everything we do. I took a while to get through it to be able to process the information but I must admit, it was hard to put down.
Here is a book that finally opened my eyes to WHY I need to be making better food decisions. It has almost been so much easier to convince myself why I don't need to reach out for that cupcake and be able to visualize what might happen if I did eat it, or how well I might feel in a few hours if I did not.
All those articles and books on dietary do's and don'ts, not once does she in this book ask you not to do something. She merely explains what goes down internally and the different outcomes they might have.
The illustrations help in keeping it light and to be able to get so much insight into topics that are NEVER discussed with friends or family was fascinating. A definite must-read for anyone remotely interested in nutrition and bettering lifestyle.
