1. What are your thoughts on suicide?
A: Under no circumstances is suicide okay! Life can kick the shit out of you; I understand that, but I truly believe that things will always get better.
2. Is there an afterlife, and if so, what do you think it’s like?
A: Being a person of faith, yes, I believe in life after death. There is so many different notions that people have about what happens to us after we die. I certainly don’t believe in reincarnation or going straight to Heaven after we die, but a simple version of what I believe in is: One of these days, Jesus is going to return; we’ll all get judged, those judged with a faithful heart will go to live in Heaven for 1000 years, then we’ll come down to live on the New Earth.
3. Is revenge ever justified?
A: I feel revenge has two parts: the actual thought of revenge and the action carried out. Also, there are many types of revenge, but simply put, there is the legal way to carry out revenge and the illegal way to carry it out. I believe feelings of revenge after being extremely hurt by someone else’s actions are justified, but never justified if you carry out the action of revenge in any illegal kind of manner.
4. What could society do without?
A: Diseases, famine, death, etc.
5. What would you want your last words to be and to whom?
6. Do you have any core beliefs, any issues, that you would defend to the death and if so, what are they?
A: My faith and the faith of those around me has made me into the person I am today. All the beliefs that fall under my religion, I would defend to the death.
7. What is something you’ve always wanted to do? Detail would be nice.
A: Drop everything I have and/or am doing, and just get in the car and drive to anywhere. I always thought it would be cool if people could travel the world (really get that perspective we all need) before going to college. Unrealistic dream: be in a band!
8. If you could live forever, would you?
A: I only believe in eternal life through my religion; other than that, no.
9. Any special memories? Which one will you never forget?
A: The past five years has been a growing up period for me, and I’ve only gotten through it with the help of my brother. Thus, every moment I’ve shared with him, I will always remember.
10. Is it actions or thoughts that count? Do the results justify the means?
A: I believe we are all meant to lead by example. In other words, our actions should reflect our beliefs making actions very important. However, morally speaking, sometimes results do not justify the means (refer to number 3).
11. Is there such a thing as unconditional love, where one human being could love another with no return/recognition whatsoever?
A: Definitely! As humans, we all have flaws. All those negative feelings that can be wrenched out of us under the oddest of circumstances often short come our ability to love unconditionally, but I definitely believe it is possible.
1. Are dreams really important or are we suppose to just make the best of what we’ve got?
2. If you could make one change to our Constitution, what would it be?
3. Do you believe that shows like, “What Not To Wear,” is demoralizing or a justified call out in people’s lives?
4. Nature vs nurture, which one wins out when it comes to the act of decision-making?
5. Single parenting or both parents, which is better, in your opinion?
6. What makes us any different than the Roman/Greek cultures (i.e. living in relative luxury and it becoming one of the prime reasons for the fall of both these cultures)
7. How old do you think the world really is?
8. Common sense or factual intelligence, which is more important?
9. Besides food, water, and sleep, what do you think is truly needed to live?
10. If given the chance to start your life over, would you?
11. What would qualify as a GOOD education?
