ah tysm! ill definitely check out those lectures. and i suppose i should read things other than just fics in my free time...

Fics are great too! :D But they tend to have a specific focus (mostly on romance) and imo it’s helpful to learn things outside of the fic skillset so you can bring that stuff in where it’s useful. I didn’t mean to sound like you can’t learn from fic, but definitely widen your range yeah :D (though for long periods of recovering from rl shit I read just fic and romance books so IT’S NOT LIKE I’M ONE TO TALK haha)

I second the Burroway book! It is a fantastic resource for aspiring writers!

Ahhh good! I feel like a bit of a fraud reccing it since I didn’t read much, but what I read I liked a lot. It has writing exercises too!

1.) I like that I can do a decent Snow White impression.

2.) I like my hair. It’s shallow, I know. But I like my hair. 

3.) I like that I can write daily!!! It takes discipline, but it’s sharpening my skills!

4.) I have little freckles randomly on my body, like one on my collar bone and a few on my face and one on one of my hip bones and they’re really cute and I like them. 

5.) Um................I like that I have gr8 taste in animals. Dogs and birds are the best. Fight me about it.
