ESTER DAY 2015

This is the day dedicated to a Nerdfighter named Ester Earl by the vlogbothers in 2010. She inspired the fault in our stars, sparked a nerdfighteria movement on August 3rd and touched lives worldwide. 2010 was the year she passed away because of her cancer, which was made of her. Today we honour what she wanted to happen on the August 3rd, her birthday, each year since; to celebrate love. Not the romantic kind necessarily, but the other types of unsung love between family, friends, carers, everyone- people who you love and who love you back. Tell them that you love them. Happy birthday Ester. Truly, this star will not go out.

Whenever the HP alliance does something really cool, I think of Esther and how I'd love to do it WITH her.  We miss you desperately, but we'll keep doing things you would have loved.  And you would have LOVED this. Rest in Awesome.

Watching Old Vlogbrother's Videos

I saw one where John asked us all to sign Esther's guest book because she was sick.  I miss her so much.  I miss how tough and cool she was, and how she never forgot to be awesome.  My heart still breaks for her family, and for the world who never got to have all that she could have offered.  Esther, I'm crying in my college library because you never got to see the last Harry Potter.
