C5 E1 I4 O3 and T5 for Destin? Please?

C5. who is the best at comforting them when down?

Before the events of his campaign/storyline, this was almost certainly his mother. Currently it’s probably his best friend, Fion. They both shared the ability to sort of “get” the way his mind works and see when he is following an unhealthy line of thinking.

E1. does the way they do things portray their internal personality?

Destin’s internal personality is in a bit of a weird place right now. He’s sort of somatic roommates with some eldritch version of his grandfather, and feels compelled to complete a grand quest to save his friends and his city. As such, he believes that he is doing the right thing, but isn’t always doing what he would do under normal circumstances.

I4. would/was their family be okay with them being LGBT?

Destin is asexual and has never had a relationship that he considered romantic as much as empathic. The only person he has talked to about this is his younger sister, who had no issues accepting and loving him like she always did.

His father would take issue with their “bloodline coming to an end” and other old fart sentiment. His mom probably wouldn’t mind, but would hesitate to be openly supportive due to his dad. His older sister would see it as a good thing, because he wouldn’t complicate family affairs with a partner.

O3. are they good at giving advice?

Noooooooooo. Destin is very learned, but not very worldly. Luckily, he knows better than to try and advise others (aside from logical or tactical deductions). He’s awkward and avoids conflict when he can, be it physical or emotional.

T5. have they told truths that have been spread against their will?

Destin is a very “nose to the grindstone” type of person and never talked much to others unless they wholly gained his trust. Anything he may have rarely let slip was usually squashed by his older sister, lest it become some kind of PR nightmare for the family. But because Destin keeps to himself, this probably only happened a couple of times at most.

2, 3, and 18 for the oc ask? any oc?

Oh boy, I’m going to go for Lil. She’s a big, tall girl who’s got some insufficient training with big swords and is going to get sucked into a much too big adventure via an investigaton into a tradgedy that killed her father years ago.

2. What are your OC’s food preferences (flavors/textures/spiciness/calories/ when and how they eat) and how did they get that way?

Lil’s not too picky when it comes to the food she grew up on. In her home village it was a lot of fish, root vegetables, seasonal fruit and berries, and grains for breads and porridge. Once she moved as a child there was more mutton and pork and less fish, but the rest of her diet stayed the same. Meals were generally pretty heavy at midday and lighter in the morning and evening. She likes savoury food, doesnt’ mind sweets as long as they’re not too sweet, and isn’t really familiar with hot food at all. 

So that’s all that she’s used to. Once she gets out and about and starts encountering different foods, she’ll be wary. She’ll always eat what’s offered, but stuff that’s too light in taste and calories will make her suspicious and flavours that she’s not used to will be ones she avoids. 

3. What’s something pointless/petty/unimportant that IRRATIONALLY ANNOYS THE HELL out of your OC?

Watching her travel mates read and write. Such a freaking waste of time. Cant’ they just remember it? It takes away from time they could be using in more practical ways, the paper and books just take away from storage space, and gods damn it, after they do that they talk to each other about stupid-ass stuff she doesn’t understand. 

Okay, her travel mates will be mages and researchers so it’s not unimportant at all, but it will take my illiterate Lil awhile to understand why they need to do these things, and even then she’ll be a little perturbed.

What’s the trashiest item in your OC’s wardrobe, when was the last time they wore it and why do they still have it?

This is trashiest in terms of most worn and best disposed of when given a chance because Lil’s too much to much of a prude to wear something trashy in the other sense. 

She’s got a linen apron that’s stained and been repaired multiple times and looks awful. If she’s making a meal or cleaning or caring or weapons or whatever, she’s wearing it. She heard too many complaints about how fast she was growing and had to wear too many ill-fitting hand-me-downs (th girl tops out at around 6′4″) so when she gets clothes that fit well, even i they’re not of her one ‘good’ set, she takes care of them. Ergo the sacrificial apron.

So I haven't played Baulders gate since I was a little kid but I keep seeing your posts about playing it so i went and found my dad's old copy of it and I'm installing it to play and I wanted to thank you for reminding me how much I liked this game!

I love carver. He became a warden during the deep roads expedition and he and Ava helped the mages later on. I like that he started to grow and thrive in the wardens, and Ava wrote him letters as often as she could. Ava is elemental Mage and over her time in Kirkwall gets lots better at healing magic. She's also a good negotiator and likes to garden.

Good! I absolutely love Warden Carver! I agree, he really grows into his own as a Warden and overall his relationship with Hawke improves because of it. 

I really like hanging out with Carver during the DLC–he seems so happy to be a Warden and here I am like a proud big sis lol

Gardening is a fun hobby (I do a little of it myself so that makes me really happy!)
