Where did you learn to fight? Who taught you, and why?
There are many temples dedicated to the martial arts in Elsweyr. Khajiit are a people proud of their martial prowess as much as their quick wit, and a Khajiiti monk is perhaps the paragon of a honed body to match the honed mind. It is perhaps for this reason that our title of Do is reserved only for a select few.
It will not surprise you that this one learned his trade in one of the finest temples in Elsweyr, the benefits of having an uncle in the order when his parents passed. It should surprise you even less that the cloistered life did not suit this one’s fancy. Once there were no more ranks to ascend, the life of a monk seemed suddenly hollow.
So, this one chose to leave renown behind, and took to the life of a mercenary. The temple showed him many things, it made him lethal, but experience on the field of battle? Raiding and plundering across Cyrodiil? That is what made him a killer.

It is a beautiful coat, friend. This one has seen you with the caravans, yes?
Many thanks. Though yours is, I daresay, equally luxurious.
Yes, this one has been serving as an emissary to the caravans on behalf of his employers. But it has been as much a vacation as anything.
This one would wish you warm sands, but would that be more cruel than comfort, so far north?
[A shrug.] This one is comfortable most anywhere. Besides, his coat blends in quite nicely with the snow. It is difficult to complain.

'I was thinking I might drown you in the pond.' Ah, no. I oughtn't say that.

This one is honored. Would Dro’Lastborn be able to accompany me out, tonight?
Gladly. There are none who could deny me permission.
Hello, grandfather. How are you this evening?
I am better with each passing moment. Your visits are always a pleasure.

It is good to have many names.
I am glad, then, that I was born with many.
