So Grimm finally passed on....

We played him as an antagonist in this session. No one in our party had previously interacted with him, and though my character read his aura and another character heard his underlying anguish, we didn’t as characters have enough knowledge of the situation to save him. Rest in peace, you skinny son of a bitch.
