It's been a joy watching Charlie's evolution, at least on my part! I remember back when we all thought he was a boy with cancer because his sprite was bald. Later, Thomas Rennings was made, probably less known. The Crying Child, because they both cried and my own interpretation, which i dubbed Mary.. then the books came out!

Five Nights at Freddy's: Happy Ever After AU part 2

I saw ppl liked it, so here's more. @thehomothings Icarus helped coming up with some stuff. Part 1

It's a family business. Will and Henry are brothers-in-law. And Alice's maiden name is Emily

William has a younger brother named Thomas (inspiration behind him was rather cursed... old sport). Their relationship is kinda rocky and they bring out the biggest dumbassery in each other

William still has those scars, but because he tried out his inventions on himself. And ditched the suits, fuck that. So he made sentient robots

"Henry, the government must not know that I'm a genius inventor. I just want to make funny robots."

The Aftons use British expressions which often requires translation

Human animatronics are collectively referred as jesters

Sun/Moon and (Security) Puppet are the caretakers and are very respected among the animatronics. And when you see one of them, be sure the other is somewhere near by platonic old married couple

William wasn’t at all prepared to be flung into parenthood but after an accidental pregnancy with his ex girlfriend Starla he didn’t exactly have a choice. Raising Thomas was difficult beyond what he thought. His parents made it look so easy. Thomas is incredibly resentful with how William treated him.

William broke down raising his children down to a perfect science around the time Michael was born, only four years after Thomas. William had gotten smarter after the first time around, and knew how to pull the strings to get away with practically everything. Hell, you could even compare some of his parenting tips to cult-leader like tactics. He was able to manipulate Shelby (his ex wife), and his two younger children into seeing him as this genuinely positive and loving presence in their life, making them excuse the abuse they went through.

William also used a lot of his parenting position as a way to garter publicity. Three troubled kids abandoned by their mothers and left to be raised by a single father who ran his own business. Each kid having their own disturbances that made it oh so difficult for him to manage. But he did it. Look at how behaved and obedient and loving his children are. Thomas being the outlier- the excuse being he lived part time with his mother. He used the excuse of Michael being autistic to his advantage, as Michael was the “chosen” one for his aggressions.

William saw all of his negative traits in Michael. Every trait his parents tried to smash out of him, and new ones that drove him fucking batty. Michael was everything William hated wrapped up in one not-so-neat package. He spent most of his time with Michael either scolding him, or love bombing him. Michael being homeschooled and almost entirely isolated from the outside world (past his home and the pizzaria) he was solely dependent on William for everything. It stroked Williams ego to the max, he loved every moment of Michael begging for help.

Elizabeth on the other hand reminded him of all his good traits and more. She was independent (unlike Michael), she was beautiful and innocent and FUNNY. God she was funny! She didn’t hold back with insults on Michael or Thomas or other kids She (and William) didn’t approve of. She could be quite a nasty one, and William thought it was so cute. Kind of like when adults find kids being “sassy” hilarious. Sometimes she did need to be put in her place. Her ego shouldn’t be allowed to be as big as she wants it. William had no issue correcting that.

Thomas was irrelevant. There were multiple times William even forgot he was there until Michael came screaming and crying and whining about some prank Thomas did to him. Starla eventually stopped taking Thomas over to Williams. He didn’t care.

If Father was just as intelligent and clever as you say he was, then how did he die by your hands?

Thomas Afton, a character I made the other night and have been tweaking these past couple days. I intended him to be Micael’s twin, left back in England in a foster home because his parents weren’t able to take both him and Michael to America at the time. Michael never met him until around 5-6 years after William dies. 

He mostly resembles their mother.

tbh people who’ve met Michael and think he’s nuts because he’s an Afton never really met Tom (and it shows). Tom is easily described as a maniac. He’s hyper and extremely imaginative. He acts like a small child whose parents let him eat way too much cotton candy.

he’s a painter, mostly, and has his own studio (which is an absolute mess mind you). He focuses on abstract pieces that people describe as ‘messy’ and ‘unimaginative’ even though each piece is well thought out and takes more than a few days to finish.

Even if he seems innocent enough, many people find him... weird. He’s always up to something, and when he drops his ecstatic act he looks and sounds dead. Carlton (who is at this time an officer) has suspicions about Tom, although he can’t just snoop whenever he wants. The most he can do (and does) is keep an eye on him and make sure Michael knows his brother is ‘acting weird’.
