Maybe I too need to open up a weekly pop-up to sell the overflow of books that are taking over my apartment.
The thought of letting go of his collection, amassed over twenty years and largely kept in storage, came to him during the pandemic. “I realized I’m never going to have an apartment big enough for all these books, unless I get a rich husband, and I’m not the marrying kind,” Beard, who is thirty-seven, said. He gestured at the dozen or so ikea Billy bookcases that lined the walls and were tidily packed with thousands of volumes. “The books were locked away like a dowry, and I wanted them to have a life in the world.”.
