Grey didn’t want to give up being an artist, but his parents were right... it wasn’t supporting him. And so, heeding their advice, he got himself a “real” job- working behind a desk. He tried to keep up with some art too, but work began to be too much, and he stopped having time or energy. Grey quickly became miserable. Even more so because his parents and his coworkers all called him by his first name, Thomas. He much preferred his middle, Grey. His parents had given him a watch as a congratulations present for starting the new job. They told him it was so he’d always be on time. “Am I doing this right?” So- I blame @_eraserse mostly for this, but I also got a TON of compliments on this look today.... and be became an OC! Meet Thomas Grey Tymes! He goes by Grey, and his brother, James, is teaching him to Step in Time with all the other sweeps! Grey tried to go off and make a life for himself, to keep he and James’ parents happy. James, had, after all, become a sweep- and their folks weren’t too pleased... but when Grey found himself unhappy at the “real jobs” he was taking on, he envied his brother’s happiness. He asked him how he did it, and James’ response was to start softly singing a bit of “Chim Chiminey Charoo”.
