A thousand soldiers brought forth harps of spider silk and drums and flutes and fiddles. The music they played tickled the senses, like a dream of a dream lost amidst nostalgic memories. Rioana kissed Brin and he kissed her in return, and above all Queen Sriki watched from astride her wasp steed, her smile gentler for once than it had been. For one brief shining moment at that Royal Ball...everything was perfect. And then that moment ended. They awoke the next morning among the flowers, morning dew still glistening with the first hint of distant dawn. And as they rose they saw what she had done. A vast wall of twisted, blackened thorns encircled the valley, trapping them. Spikes and spines grasped and reached, a threat to any who dared to brave the wicked tangle. Pixies waited not far away, watching their faces, but never coming near. Queen Sriki was among them, and the smile upon her face was openly filled with wicked delight.

Jude Mathis

favorite thing about them: How he just... rolls with his new circumstances. He doesn’t have the easiest time at the beginning, but he’s quick to adapt, and I like how he decides to find his own purpose.

least favorite thing about them: He’s sometimes a bit rude or insensitive, especially with Leia. It’s not really intentional, and most of the time it’s just fun banter, but I can see how some of the stuff he says can feed into her self-esteem issues.

favorite line: “TEACH ME ABOUT BAZONGAS!!” I love how he just gets into it and lets the troll get him to embarrass himself XD Poor Jude...

brOTP: Leia ofc

OTP: Milla/Jude. I love how their relationship is built on mutual respect and understanding, and they have a pretty good dynamic all through the game and beyond. They’re really great.

nOTP: Gaius/Jude. I just... can’t see either of them ever developing romantic feelings for the other.

random headcanon: On his free time, he’s researching ancient summon rituals to find a way to summon Maxwell so Milla can spend time in the human realm again without drawback.

unpopular opinion: idk if it’s an unpopular opinion, but I find that some takes greatly exaggerate his “obsession” with Milla. It’s true his arc is very centered on her (but tbh so are most of the characters), but he has goal of his own (in fact that’s the whole point of his character arc), and relationships with other characters independent from her.
