Lunar New Year: Daruma (Wish) Dragon!

Legends say red and gold Thorntails are signs of good luck. It was common to hire one on quests, journeys, and voyages, for the successful achievement of the goal and a safe return home. These days, red and gold Thorntail imagery is used on good luck charms and to help wishes come true. It's common to buy a wishing doll, a small figurine with blank white eyes. Make a wish or begin a quest by filling in one of the eyes. When the wish has come true or the goal has been achieved, fill in the other!

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, and especially the Lantern Festival, Prismatic Spring Hatchery has a new Daruma Nest! These hatchlings are meant to resemble a Daruma doll. They will help you track a quest or a goal, and they have a template for you to record your progress:

These hatchlings come with exclusive Thorntail Daruma art! You will start with blank eyes. Once you've identified your goal, one of the eyes gets colored in. And when you achieve your goal, you color in the other eye!

We have three sizes of Daruma art, and you have access to each of the "poses" if you obtain a Daruma dragon:

And sprite-sized (~50px):

If you have not gotten a Daruma dragon and you would like to use the Thorntail Daruma, we request a small donation of 25g/kt (to CipherThirteen on FR) for access to all of the poses in any of the sizes. Please link back to this post so other people can find them (and most importantly so you can "color in" your Thorntail Daruma's eyes as you go!).

Hatchlings (Lantern Fest, 3 Mar Nest!)

All hatchlings are XYY (Crimson/Garnet/Sanguine and Gold/Gold). There will be more, but these three were hatched specially on the day of the Lantern Fest with Light eyes for the nest/lore/art debut! They are all available on the AH.

If you would like the hatchling to emulate your Daruma's eyes even more, we recommend Glowing eyes (for the starting look) or Dark Sclera eyes (for the achievement look). See the parents, Wish and Cheevie, for examples!
