It’s been quite some time since it happened that Loki caught an quite odd message from one of his employees in the palace, more like a joking chat, that Loki would better belong to a place called “Middle Earth” if he wouldn’t stop complaining about these .. the more the aesir had been suprised that this joke sort of awoken his curiousity.. oddly. Pretty suspicious. First of the god has believed this is some kind of the usual tasteless jests, particularly that Loki couldn’t catch that “Middle Earth” isn’t some kind of a second Midgard, nor it is part of Yggdrasil. He soon found out that it wasn’t even part of his universe apart from the twigs of the world tree and not a silly joke from a warrior of the palace. It needed a more intense talk with the Asgardian gatekeeper Heimdall as the God actually decided to visit this place, that he knew that this world indeed is real, it would just be a different journey for the liesmith. A journey between the worlds and even time, that it will cost Loki a big part of his magic, since the Bifrost only could do not even half of the work. And the royal accepted.
Nearly powerless the god landed near to a lonely part of a dark forest, the greenish beaming light of the Bifrost burned a pattern into the ground like fire, with him being in the middle before the light soon disappeared into the sky, leaving the aesir in the darkness of the night with only the moon and stars being in his company. Heimdall tried his best to exactly send Loki to this place where the letter has told.. which already looks encouraging. Narrow row of houses just some meters away from his location point caught the attention of the trickster, the lights still on, surrounded by some wooden thick roots. An inn, Loki hoped. But he trusts Heimdall’s abilities, but soon enough and luckily his doubts were not confirmed, and Loki finds himself inside the accommodation, sitting near the tavern with a rather small beer in his hand, Loki never really was a fan of beer, he is more a lover of wine, but here and there he could do some exceptions, notably when Loki is traveling through the realms and his curiousity grows for the different production and taste for the alcohol. And to his surprise the beer he right now enjoys, tastes nearly the same like in Asgard, just with more flavor..and sweetness? Probably honey.
Being dressed in a more longer robe with a deep hood covering his face the young God takes in his environment of this small bar, to allow himself taking an image of this realm, and of those people who seem to come along here as well. And the very first thought Loki set to himself was, that it all looks very... medieval. Sure, Asgard doesn’t look quite modern as well, but Loki heard of the the medieval times and looks of the human medieval times on Midgard. It was a journey through time and ages, through different years, it could happen that the aesir would land to a realm with no present-days just like earth right now. But this shouldn’t bother the blackhaired, after all it does look all liveable here. The more curious thing is that Loki felt something in the air, something familiar. Magic.
So it is not another earth-similar realm with mortals around, it is a land of humans and magic beings together as well? The asgardian royal would like to explore this feeling, but not right now, he’s just way too exhausted for this
Loki didn’t know much how to pay the bartender, so he just grabs into his pocket to take a grab to a brown bundle full of golden coins, to pay the beer but also for requesting a room for one night or two. To his luck, the landlord accepted the payment and leading his new guest upstairs to the higher rooms. Loki seems to be a welathy man, so does believe the landlord, and so the more older man decided to show the god the more “better” versions of beds, for people who can actually own it. And honestly the trickster was very thankful for this since he really didn’t desire to share a room with multiple people he doesn’t even know, more worse to imagine how these strangers would actually behave. Sure, Loki could easily defend himself, but sadly he used way too much of his power, that his strenght only would lead to the blade of his dagger, and his great ability of close combat But at the moment stirring up trouble is the last thing the young male desires. So the aesir thanks the landlord before Loki is left alone in his very room with his own larger bed, a big table with some vegetable and dried flowers, maybe because this room is so rarely used that people tend to forget to take care here.
With tired footsteps Loki stumbles over towards the bed to nearly let himself literally FALL into the sheets, releasing a deep sigh. It is time to rest, it would be the better decision. He always could inquire this realm tomorrow. So he decided to free himself out of the robe, out of the parts of his heavy green-golden armor so the trickster is dressed in just a plain dark-green shirt and thinner black pants. He doesn’t quite care about anything anymore, all his head could think about was sleeping, he even doesn’t want to read his books as usual before he would dream better.
Throwing the sheets over his body it didn’t take long for Loki to fall into a heavy rest, curling himself tight in the softness.
