see theres modern art defenders all over my twitter dash and i agree with them in a vacuum but i think the important context is that i get angry about how much money is in that industry. money laundering and elitism thrives and generally it just kind of distresses me but yeah the 'i can do that' crowd sucks and modern art is often very interesting and technically intricate. i just dont think the multimillion dollar pieces need people defending their integrity from normies and pissed off working artists who say some stupid shit sometimes. like yeah theyre misguided in what the issue is or just take one issue out on everything in that genre unfairly

i get angry whenever i see people exchanging hellish amounts of money tbh. modern art is just easily the most absurd to a consumer so its easily honed in on and made an example of. i think the dystopia of ductape banana has permenantly soured it for a lot of people. (not to speak on the amount of thought put into it. idk man. but similarily to colour theory in hospital floors, having a banana ductaped to a wall drag in more money than i or most people will ever see elicits a visceral reaction and id rather that not be a 'gotcha! youre mad so the art worked' moment because this economy and society is in shambles please)

Random thoughts:

Iida Tenya is without a doubt smooth as fuck. Tensei gives me those vibes, and I fully believe he sat Tenya down to have an indepth conversation about flirting with him. Tenya listened and then went on a four month binge of research. He can and will charm you.

Todoroki Shouto actually would know his feelings fairly fast for someone because Fuyumi sat him down to explain romance, and he does have access to TV. He's just also the kind of person to go head over heels for someone and be 1000% there for them.

Shinsou Hitoshi is also smooth as hell. Until someone flirts back, then he's a stuttering mess who will trip over his own feet and walk into a wall.
