Hey, it's me! Here, I ramble about musical theatre, books, embroidery, and sometimes movie and TV shows I enjoy. sideblog: @subtle-ifthen AO3: @TheMomentExplodes
Always feel free to send me an ask! I love getting them. Feel free to scroll through and find old #ask games and use them. Just let me know what to reference xd. I am always open to editing and moodboard requests. My askbox is on, please use it.
I post mainly about the Broadway show If/Then and its blazing supernova, Idina Menzel. I will also blog about my current reads or a gorgeous edit/mood board I found of other fandoms I love. I post a lot about crochet.
Some of the other fandoms I've posted about include Anastasia, Dogfight, Wicked, and Marvel.
I over-share a lot.
Mutuals, always feel free to message me for alternate contacts in the event Disney takes Tumblr down. Some aren't using the same anon name or have my irl name so if my name being something other than Hester will brother you, let me know.
My AO3 is @/themomentexplodes
Also, I can't type to save my life so just expect many embarrassing typos.
Tags I sort my blog by:
(links only work on desktop, use the search function on mobile)
#willow's tea is the culmination of everything I post from shitposts to ask replies to creativity to adding onto someone's post in a way I've decided warrants the tag. This also includes replied to tag games.
#hester's ask is for when I reblog a reply to my ask
#for hester is when lovely people made me a mood board etc 🥰
#the moment queues is my queue tag. I still don't get the point of making an actual tag for it as I usually use queues to reduce spam, but here is one.
The following is always included under willow's tea:
#ask hester is my ask tag
#hester's stuff is things I make that aren't shitposts (text shitposts that is, recently edits as shitposts with too much effort have become a thing). Things like crochet, mood boards/edits, and fanfiction. This may include things that don't necessarily fall under a specification tag.
This tag gets further categorized by post types, such as #hester's moodboard, #hester’s edits, #hester's fics, and #hester's crochet
#hester does photography is for the occasional camera dump I do of something pretty.
I don't have any sort of organization tags for fandoms etc and I will leave it at that. Chaos ✨

TEEN HORSE GIRL MOVIE WHERE THE HORSE DIES AN HOUR IN AND THE SECOND HALF IS THE GIRL LEARNING OCCULT SCIENCE TO REANIMATE IT SO SHE CAN WIN THE BIG DERBY
Thinking about that "how did you write 700 words without AI post" while I sit here at 1am typing up my 10-page paper and using maps to fill page space bc we have no word minimum and I know ArcGIS (this is probably taking more time than actually writing but I'm using pretty colours).
I'm passed 700 words btw and it's only been 1.5 hours.
Tumblr is super big on the "I didn't say it was good, I said I liked it" but really need to discover the value in its opposite of "I didn't say it was bad, I said I hated it".
You can acknowledge that something is good, great, a masterpiece even, and just straight-up not enjoy it.
looking for opinions both from americans and non-americans: what would you consider to be the big 4 american cities in terms of like, vibes-based cultural impact?
sorry but someone assuming you have "left a fandom" when you don't post about it a lot anymore feels like bilbo coming home to the sackville bagginses having him presumed dead and selling all his stuff. girl i was just on a little quest????
I'm in the interview process for an international ski position!!!! OMG.
Huge for me because in my last two ski jobs, the hiring process was me filling out a form and showing up on the days I said I would, and the other one was me calling for information on the scheduling times, turning into an 8-minute call that ended in me being on staff for the season.
